Hello everyone!
We just started setting one of our computers to work on this final project.
As you can see in the images below, we installed Ubuntu and Image Magick. It was more difficult that what we expected.
We hope to start working this week looking for how to use these programmes we just installed. Good luck everyone!

I made this WSQ using arrays, that was pretty easy because I asked for a definited number of values (10). I had some problems remembering how yo get the stardard deviation but I searched and found a lot of help in this page: http://www.disfrutalasmatematicas.com/datos/desviacion-estandar.html
Here is a image of the program executed:

Done!
Here are my two questions answered. In the first, it says that we had to do a function called fibonacci, and in the second one, a function called isPalindrome, in which I made two codes that you can find in GitHub as isPalindrome1 & isPalindrome2, in the first, it yields a “True” or “False” text if the word the user put is palindrome, in the second code it return a 1 (true) or a 0 (false) corresponding at the conditional if.
fibonacci function:
isPalindrome1:
isPalindrome2:

In this WSQ we go on to functions in a easy way. I came back to #WSQ03 to use only thae main programme prints to show the results of the operations between the numbers that are asked to the user.
This is a programme easy to do. The function of each operation returns the value calculated in only one line, that means that I did not use loops in the functions.
I found help in Ken’s lecture yesterday. When I did this WSQ, I was already done with WSQ09, so this was literally nothing on that WSQ.
This page also helped me: http://aprendecpp.com/blog/programacion-en-c-como-crear-funciones-i.html

In this code, we tried to make a factorial calcultor. It was easy, I made a function and I put it inside a DO WHILE loop, the type of the function was long, it returned the factorial of the number that the user gives, this value was also long. At the end of the operation, the program asks to the user if he wants to calculate another number’s factorial, while his option is yes (y), the program will ask again for another number.

Well, after try a lot of times compiling different codes, I finally got it.
Make functions on c++ is easy and difficult at the same time, even though there are a lot of ways of make functions, not all of them are correct.
I found a lot of help in Ken’s class, he teached us 3 different ways to make a correct function, and also explained what does mean every single string in it.
This is a source I found helpful: https://sites.google.com/site/morganbeltrandiaz/the-team
Read the book, it is always a good way to learn something new.
Function called “superpower”…
And the function called “stars”…

In this WSQ we were asked to make a program that automatically could choose a number between 1 and 100, and the user would try to guess it. The program will show a message saying if the number is higher or lower than the chosen by the user, then the user will try with another number until he choose the correct one.
You can make this program using -while- or -for-, if you want it to be easy. I found -for- a nice way to make it.
To generate a random number and understand how that functions work, this video helped me a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfHI4ePUHc4
Also page 103 and 104 of the book.

An about page…
My name is Antonio Emmanuel Garcia Vazquez, I’m 19 and I live here in Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico.
I am currently studying an engineering in Tec de Monterrey, campus Guadalajara. I think this is the best decision I’ve ever made, because I’ve always wanted to create things, to desing and put math on everything I do, cause I love them too since I was on elementary school.
I work designing parts for pharmaceutical packing, such as thermoforming molds, guides, feeding systems, dies and all those things you can find in a pharmaceutical laboratory.
I studied high school getting a technical degree (Tecnologo Mecanico en Maquinas & Herramientas). I learned a lot while I was studying there, actually, I do my job using all the things they taught me there. Also, in that school I met my platonic love, who now is my girlfriend. I think I’m such a lucky guy. I love her.
I got a lot of friends from there, we worked together for almost four years. We did everything in that school, actually we also programmed in C++ in one semester. At the last one, we made a 3D printier to get our degree, this is a thing I’m very proud of.
I love Football and TaeKwonDo, thede are my favorite sports.
I also like cars and everything that has some relation with cars.
I think Star Wars movies are the best on earth.
